I hope everyone likes the small adjustments I made in my blog. It did wonders for my visitors stats. Meaning, I visited a lot as I was making the adjustments and created a massive spike in the bar chart. lol.
I thought I would change the size so that it would fit more into the standard screen. So hopefully you non-widescreen viewers are jumping with glee that you don't have to scroll. I know the title isn't that clear but no colour stands out against that picture. Also, no matter how many times I scan the code, I can't figure out why I have two different text fonts, but I've decided I like it.
By the way, I am working on my "Yes"s. I'll post a master list in about a week. I haven't had very many in the last couple of day's, but I had 3 on Wednesday.
Another little tidbit to do with my little coincidences because I'm a freak like that. Yesterday while finishing my Nietzsche essay and voicing my frustration over my lecturer's use of the word "superman" instead of the "overman" Kaufmann translates it as in his version of Thus Spoke Zarathustra, I realised that the hero Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent is a journalist! I anticipate blank confusion at this point. So I will help you out: I too want to be a journalist. Not only do I want to say "yes" to life like Nietzsche's "superman" (supresses disgruntled groan because I don't believe the "overman" deserves such an extra-terrestrial heroic connotation), I want to be like Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent. I'd also very much like to be like Superman, except not a man. So I will be Supergirl. Yes, there is a Supergirl. She was Superman's cousin. I saw a movie once.
I would also like to announce that it is National Donut Day in the United States. But that will just not do so I am extending its sphere of celebration to at least as far as me. I would proclaim it National Donut Day in NZ or International Donut Day, but I'm not sure I have the authority. Either way, I intend to eat a donut today to celebrate the ingenuity of taking dough, punching a whole through it and then deep frying it in oil. A simple idea that created much deliciousness. I'm fancying a traditional glazed donut, but I always have a penchant for something cream filled like a Bavarian or Boston cream. More on my donut devouring later. Feel free to join me in the patronage of your local Dunkin Donuts.Labels: Clark Kent, donuts, Nietzsche, philosophy, Superman, web design |
